How Do You Do That?

As the Broadcast Editor here on Showiteer.com, I get to talk with so many amazing people!!! You Showiteers are truly an inspirational and creative bunch, with some of the most generous hearts I have ever come in contact with. If you're reading this and haven't made it to a Live At Showiteer.com broadcast yet, I'm telling you, you don't want to miss those!

We are also starting something else under the broadcast umbrella, and I am so excited about this! If you have made your way to this site, and you are taking the time to read this, chances are, you're a creative by nature. As a creative, if you're anything like me, you're a visual learner. I don't know about you, but when I am on the hunt to learn anything new, I will pass up 10 articles to get to a video tutorial. I've also been known to drive an hour across town so someone can show me how to do something, rather than spend 20 minutes reading a how-to tutorial. I just absorb things more quickly and it sticks with me much longer if I can see someone doing the task rather than having them explain it to me.

In that vein, I would love to see this become the “go to” place for creative Showiteers all over the world when they need to know how to do something. Need to know how to load a preset into Lightroom? We'll have a video for that. Need to know how to do a head swap on your last family session? We'll have a video tutorial that shows you how. Can't figure out how to get the red out without losing their lips? We will have a tutorial you can watch, etc. The list could be endless. Okay, not endless, but it could be really long!

In order for this to be successful however, we need your tutorials. What is it you know how to do that would translate well into a 2-4 minute clip? All of us have something we rock at, and could share with everyone here! Your imagination is the only limitation (okay, I'm exaggerating again, it's not really, there are a few other limitations, but it sounded really good.) We really want to hear all of your ideas. This is a community of creatives all learning from one another, and this blog is an opportunity to share our gifts with each other- an opportunity to share those gifts visually, a way in which we creatives love to learn!

Lay it on us. Contact me your ideas for a tutorial and send in requests of what you want to learn. I am certain there's someone in this community that knows just how to do it and is willing to teach the rest of us! I for one, cannot wait to learn from all of you!

Hi! I'm Jihae Watson! I was born in Seoul, grew up in Toronto, Ontario and now live in Gilbert, Arizona. I love all three cities so very much as I have plenty of family, and favorite restaurants in all three locations.

I am married to a stud named Chris, and we have four fantastic kids. Together we love being a foster family, and we presently have the sweetest little foster babe.
