Free Blogging Calendar Template

Blogging is a great marketing tool for your business, but it's also one that requires a time commitment and consistency. Using a monthly calendar (digital or print) to manage your blogging schedule is a great way to layout your content on a regular basis and can be a motivational accountability tool too.

I've struggled A LOT with blogging consistently ever since I started my business. So I'm making a commitment to using a monthly blogging calendar to get me back on track. You can click on the link below to print a copy of my blank template.

This is my completed calendar for August: samplecalendar

Knowing it's not realistic for me to blog fives times per week, but still wanting to stretch myself I've filled out my calendar with a goal of 4 posts the first and third weeks of the month and 3 posts the second and fourth.

I've also decided to put some regular features on my blogging calendar. Every other Friday is dedicated to a feature post about a vendor and Monday's are dedicated to personal posts.  On the last Thursday of each month I'll be filling out my calendar for the next month.

Having my entire month of August laid out in front of me is both exhilarating and overwhelming. So a little trick I'm using to not get overwhelmed is to look at each week on it's own. By looking at one week at-a-time, the content and the calendar feels much more manageable. And because I like the physical action of checking things off my list… my template includes a place on each day to place a nice big check mark in the box when the post is written and scheduled to be published.

I'm looking forward to seeing a calendar FULL of check marks!
