I'll be the first to admit that I love gadgets and apps that help keep me organized and efficient. One of my absolute favorite apps is called Mile IQ and it keeps track of every single mile I drive for business… and I don't have to do a thing. It runs in the background of my smartphone and about once per week I take a few minutes to “classify” my drives by swiping them to the left for personal and to the right for business.
When you go on vacation, simply pause the tracking feature and turn it back on when you get home. It has to be the absolute easiest way to keep track of the miles I drive for business and makes prepping my taxes far easier than the days of keeping written logs.
You can find out more about MileIQ's features on their website. I started by using the free version and then realized that I made too many trips per month, so I upgraded to the paid version.
So what are you favorite apps for business? Share them in the comments below!
