Effervescent Elizabeth

lizWhen you find out Elizabeth Langford was a collegiate cheerleader (for the Oregon Ducks), everything makes sense. She has enough spunk to out-perk the peppiest competition. When she isn't bursting with optimism, she has her head down, working through her latest project with vigor and tenacity. If for some reason you must interrupt her workflow, she will pick her head up with a smile and gladly answer any question you might have. Immediately following the interruption, 11800397_10207837582276596_4708321173221170882_nshe gets right back to work without missing a beat. We are convinced this work ethic and positive outlook is what set Elizabeth apart from her competition to climb to the ranks of cheering at a Division One university. We also believe it's why she is the perfect fit as Showit's Ambassador of Joy and Showit Live co-host.

Elizabeth started her life as a ranch girl in Northern California. To this day, she still helps out whenever she goes back. After winter breaks, while the rest of us will be discussing playing board games with our relatives, Elizabeth shares the miraculous and somewhat stomach-churning tale of the birth of a calf.45709_154189371263852_7174127_nThose roots run deep in her, and stories from the ranch seem to be the obvious origin of Elizabeth's dedicated work ethic. A cheerleader, yes, but as a kid she also raised pigs for 4-H in order to raise the money to go to Space Camp twice. A little bit cowgirl and a little bit nerdy girl. 10277011_10204380395969099_8635414641735760761_nA collegiate athlete, yes, but she also took the opportunity to pass on her love of the sport to countless attendees while teaching cheer camps for UCA… which is where she met her husband, who was also a cheer instructor.

After working on a reality show about NASCAR and blogging for a website about shopping, she decided to start her own small business focused on website design and photography. This also allowed her to be home with their daughter Lily, who was born in 2009. A Showit employee, yes, but Liz also lends her skills to other causes like the Pursuit Community and their bi-annual conferences in Georgia. And in the midst of all of this, though busy and incredibly self-disciplined, she makes a point to stop and share words of encouragement with others. Elizabeth Langford is a woman who wears many hats, who breaks molds, reaches for the stars, and does it all with a smile.
