How to create a bold lip that lasts all night long

Men….this post probably isn't for you =) Sorry!

One of my trademark, personal branding looks are my bold lipsticks. I get asked all the time how I get it to last so long and how does it looks so perfectly applied. My signature lip selfies on Instagram have become a staple. My brides and friends are always commenting and asking where they are when I haven't posted. It has gotten to the point that if I go to an industry event and I don't have a bold lip, I get asked if something is wrong haha! Whether you decide to make it a thing like I did, or you just want to know how to apply it when you are feeling frisky, I want to share with you my steps to a perfect bold lip.

Step One:

Choose a bold, bright color and matching lip liner. The liner must be very close to your lip color for this to work. I tend to use MAC products as they last long and the color is saturated. I love the luster and matte lipsticks, and you get a 30% off discount if you are a professional photographer. Yes ladies- if you didn't know that….your mind should be blown right now.

Next,  use either sugar or a lip smoothing balm to smooth your lips. Especially if they are dry. I personally use Mary Kay's lip mask.

 Step Two:

Slowly line the outside of your lip. Make it thick and precise. Go as slow as you have to. I always start with center and then move to the edges.

Step Three:

This is the most important step in the whole process. Using your liner, line the inside of the lip. Yes, the whole lip- this will help your lipstick stay on all day.

Step Four:

Now you are ready to apply your lipstick. Again I start from the center and go out to the edges. I start on the top lip first, but I don't think that really matters. Again, slowly apply your lipstick. Stay within the edges of your liner. Coat your lips well.

Step Five:

Enjoy! You should have a long lasting, bold lip! Cue the compliments =)
