Always having the head for business, it wasn't long before Amanda found herself as a business owner, employer, as well as a mom and wife! My team and I are also trained copywriters, so while we love creating beautiful designs, we also write all of the copy and messaging for the sites as well.

Philadelphia, but we work with clients worldwide!

Years in business? …years dreaming of business?

5! And gosh, since I was a little! I've been starting odd businesses since I can remember!

When did you first feel the creative itch?

I always “felt” creative as a child but it wasn't until I had to create social media graphics for a job that I felt like I found my true creative outlet.

I started by designing graphics and logos and teaching myself Adobe Illustrator, but once I found Showit, it felt like my entire world opened up.

When did you realize you wanted to (or could) pursue a creative career away from your original career path?

What's something you wished you had learned sooner?

To capitalize on the unique pieces that make me, me!

Being different is great, and in this space, strongly encouraged.

What's something you are still learning?

I'm constantly adapting my design style and abilities for my clients. I truly love experimenting with new design trends and seeing what I can create.

Are there any creatives that influenced you? How did they influence your thinking, design, and career path?

I love Promise Tangeman and Jen Olmstead. They both have incredible style, exude positive energy, and have stunning work.

How does social media play a role in your website design business?

To be honest, I'm a pretty private person so while I love interacting with others and celebrating my client's wins, I much prefer a life away from social media.

When creating a business, most people focus on ___A___,when it’s more helpful to focus on ___B___

How did you find out about Showit?

I was in the middle of a web build for a client when I found Showit (I believe through the goal digger podcast). Once I played around with it for a little, I was hooked, and I even convinced my client to let me restart her build on the platform.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to attend any Showit event, but I can't wait until I can!

What kinds of books do you like to read when you have the chance?

I have a bustling business and two small children, so unfourtunately there's not much time for reading.

If podcasts are your jam, whatcha been listening to?

I love “the way I heard it” by Mike Rowe. He tells quick stories that leave you guessing until the end.

If you had all the money in the world to spend on one piece of art, what would you buy?

Does a home with big windows and an amazing view count?

Your journey has molded you for your greater good, and it was exactly what it needed to be. Don't think you've lost time. There is no short-cutting to life. It took each and every situation you have encountered to bring you to the now. And now is right on time.
